The Provincial Government of Negros Occidental is inviting interested private sector partners to attend the Negros Occidental Bulk Water Supply Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Project Investor Conference which will be held on August 10, 2023 from 9:00AM – 12:00NN at the Ayala Capitol Central Function Hall 1, Bacolod City, Negros Occidental.
The Project is a priority project of the Province under the Abanse Negrense seven-point development agenda. It aims to address the increasing water demand of the Province of Negros Occidental by developing surface water as the source to provide a potable, sustainable, and resilient water supply, while also promoting environmental sustainability and climate resiliency by reducing dependency on groundwater and use of deep wells.
The Project shall involve the design, finance, construction, operation and maintenance of a bulk water supply facility that will benefit at least six local government units in the northern part of the province, such as: Bacolod, Silay, Talisay and Victorias, and the municipalities of Manapla and E.B. Magalona. The Province, with the support of the Public-Private Partnership Center, USAID Safe Water and Asian Development Bank, is structuring the Project as a Solicited Public-Private Partnership (PPP) under the local PPP framework of the Province of Negros Occidental.
The Investor Conference will serve as an opportunity for interested market participants to be provided with information on the Project’s proposed terms and structure, as well as on the PPP tender process. It will also provide a forum to answer questions on the Project and PPP process and to facilitate insightful discussions between the Project team and market participants.
