Bulacan Bulk Water Supply Project - Bid Submission

THREE out of the five pre-qualified bidders submitted their offers for another water project being tendered by the Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System (MWSS).

Those vying for the Php24.40-billion Bulacan Bulk Water project include Team Polaris- Manila Water, SMC – K Water Consortium, and Prime Alloy Water Consortium.

First Philippine Holdings Corp. and Abeima Consortium and the Filinvest Agua Consortium were a no show during the bid submission held today at the MWSS.

Team Polaris – Manila Water is made of up consortium members Manila Water, M.E. Sicat Construction and the J.H. Patawaran Construction while the SMC–K Water Consortium includes San Miguel Holdings Corp. and Korea Water Resources Corporation. Prime Alloy Water Consortium is comprised of Prime Water Infrastructure Corp., MTD Capital BHD and Biwater International Ltd.

Upon review of the completeness of the submitted bid documents, the Project Bids and Awards Committee (PBAC) of the MWSS declared all three technical bid submissions compliant with their checklist. The financial bids will be opened as soon as the technical bids are evaluated and the results released.

The water supply project will provide treated bulk water to the various water districts (WD) of Bulacan and help MWSS to meet the increasing water demand of its consumers and extend its current service area coverage.

The winning bidder for the water project will finance the project, undertake its detailed design and construction and operation and maintenance of the water conveyance system, water treatment plants and other appurtenant facilities.

The Bulacan Bulk Water Supply Project is one of the two water projects of the MWSS under a PPP mode. Earlier, the New Centennial Water Source-Kaliwa Dam Project had its submission of Pre-qualification documents last October 16, 2015.
