The PPP Center conducted an online capacity building activity (OCBA) on Project Manager’s Training on Managing PPP Projects held on April 25-26, 2022 via Zoom.
A total of one hundred forty (140) participants composed of members of the PPP Contract Management Unit (CMU)/ PPP Regulatory Authority, and technical and administrative officers and staff from the following national government agencies (NGAs) and Government-Owned- and -Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) with their regional offices: Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH); Government Arsenal – Department of National Defense (DND); Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) – Banton and Region VII; Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA); Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA); Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 2 – Cagayan Provincial Office; Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA); Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) Region IV-B; and National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) Regional Office 1.
Participants from the Department of Health (DOH) are composed of technical, medical and administrative officers from its Main Office; Regional PPP Committee Members; Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM), Centers for Health and Development Regions 1 and MIMAROPA, Eastern Visayas, Bicol, and Iloilo; Bataan Provincial Health Office; Zamboanga City Medical Center; Cagayan Valley Medical Center; Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Health Office; Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital; and Davao City Health Office.
The local government unit (LGU) participants include: Provincial Governments of Bataan Davao del Norte, Negros Occidental, and Bataan (including the Bataan Public-Private Partnership and Investment Center), and Municipal Government of Kalibo, Aklan; City Governments of Malabon, Pasig, Quezon, and Tagum.
The 2-day session aimed to equip participants with knowledge on drafting PPP contracts, contract management and its phases and best practices and challenges in PPP project monitoring. Subject matter experts and technical officers from the PPP Center served as the resource persons of the activity.
