The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center took the stage at the Department of the Interior and Local Government’s (DILG) recent training for Local Economic Development and Investment Promotion Officers (LEDIPOs) in Luzon. The event, conducted on November 9, 2023, at the Linden Suites Ortigas, Pasig City, featured Director Feroisa Francisca T. Concordia of the PPP Center’s Capacity Building and Knowledge Management Service as distinguished speaker.

Director Concordia discussed the Philippine PPP Program and an overview of the project identification process. The training, organized by the DILG, aimed to equip LEDIPOs with essential knowledge and skills vital for fostering local economic development.

The capacity building activity features officials from the DILG, Department of Trade and Industry, Board of Investments, and PPP Center, serving as resource persons on national policies relevant to Local Economic Development (LED). LEDIPOs of Iloilo City; City of San Fernando, Pampanga; and Pasig City also facilitated exchanges regarding LED, good practices in establishing a LEDIP Office, and personality and marketing development.

Select participants were composed of LEDIPOs and LEDIPO-designates from local government units in CALABARZON, MIMAROPA and Central Luzon.

The PPP Center remains committed to supporting the DILG in enhancing the capabilities of LEDIPOs across Luzon. Through collaborative efforts and knowledge-sharing initiatives, both organizations aim to empower local government units in catalyzing sustainable economic growth and development.
