Interested individuals from implementing agencies, the private sector and the general public can now learn about the Philippine PPP program and its processes through a series of web-based, e-learning modules being launched by the PPP Center.

The self-paced, online modules are tailored to walk-through national implementing agencies, government corporations including financial institutions, and local government units (LGUs) on the principles of public-private partnerships, its legal framework, the processes and cycle of PPP projects as well as the lessons and challenges of undertaking PPPs in the Philippines.

Part of the e-learning module is a self-assessment tool that will help evaluate users on their understanding of the topics discussed. Throughout the course, online facilitators as well as technical support specialists in the Center will be available to answer queries from participants either thorough email or various social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Viber.

“We anticipate that after participants finish all the modules, they will have a clearer grasp of the concepts on PPPs, thus preparing them to eventually take on the challenge of implementing their own PPP projects or participating in one,” PPP Center Deputy Executive Director Eleazar E. Ricote said.

This e-learning module on PPPs is part of the Center’s mandate to provide advisory services, technical assistance, training and capacity development to implementing agencies in PPP project preparation and development.
