The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center emphasized the significance of the newly enacted PPP Code to nation-building and infrastructure development during the Infrastructure and Construction Forum 2024 held on February 29, 2024 at the Dusit Thani Manila in Makati City.

In her presentation, PPP Center Executive Director and Undersecretary Ma. Cynthia C. Hernandez discussed the most recent PPP projects in the works, as well as major initiatives aimed at capacity building, pipeline development, and policy formulation, particularly the salient reforms outlined in Republic Act No. 11966.

During the open forum, Usec. Hernandez highlighted the importance of the PPP Code in achieving inclusive and sustainable growth through PPP projects.

“This new law will also enable the country to achieve inclusive and sustainable growth by establishing a stable and predictable environment for collaboration between the public and private sectors,” Hernandez said.

The forum aims to foster dialogue and collaboration among pivotal sectors crucial to the country’s growth and connectivity bringing together key stakeholders, industry pioneers, policymakers, and experts to navigate into the multifaceted landscape of infrastructure development in the Philippines.
