The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center, led by the Capacity Building Division (CBD), conducted an in-person capacity building activity (CBA) titled Orientation on the Philippine PPP Program for the Municipal Government of Bauang, La Union on August 31, 2023, at the Bauang Municipal Hall, La Union.
Through the activity, CBD introduced PPP concepts, legal frameworks, the framework for assessing local PPP codes, and an overview of PPP processes with a detailed discussion on managing unsolicited joint venture projects. Members of the Sangguniang Bayan and the PPP-Selection Committee also took the opportunity to raise policy and project-related questions, and consult the resource persons regarding the immediate PPP-related plans of the local government unit (LGU).
The orientation was attended by twenty-two (22) officers and technical staff of the LGU – led by the Mayor Eulogio Clarence Martin P. De Guzman III, Vice Mayor Henry A. Bacurnay, Jr., members of the Sangguniang Bayan, department heads, and representatives from civil society organizations.
Ms. Kyle Angela M. Anibigno and Mr. Agape Sem B. Comendador of CBD served as resource persons during the session.
