After passing the qualification requirements, the technical bids of MWM Terminals of Megawide Construction Corp. and Filinvest Land Inc. were opened yesterday by the Department of Transportation and Communications’ (DOTC) Special Bids and Awards Committee for the Php 2.5 billion Southwest Terminal of the Integrated Transport System Project under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Program. DOTC will conduct a detailed evaluation of the group’s technical proposals before the financial proposals are opened.
The project to be constructed on a 4.6-hectare land near the Manila-Cavite Expressway will provide a central transport terminal where all modes of transport will be available on one location. The winning private proponent will undertake the design, construction, and financing of the terminal as well as the operation and maintenance of the whole facility under a concession period of 35 years, inclusive of construction.
