Assistant Secretary and Deputy Executive Director Eleazar E. Ricote of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center was one of the panel speakers at the 10th ASEAN Connectivity Symposium in Bangkok, Thailand, on August 27, 2019. Speaking before the international delegates, Mr. Ricote said, “The ASEAN Connectivity’s infrastructure requirements are massive, and private sector financing, innovation, and efficiency inputs through PPP options are viable mechanisms, as proven by country specific initiatives such as that of the Philippines.
With the theme “Connecting ASEAN through Financing Sustainable Infrastructure,” the symposium was organized by The Economic Research Institute under the backdrop of Thailand’s ASEAN chairmanship for 2019. The theme of its ASEAN Chairmanship is “Advancing Partnership for Sustainability.”
