Tarlac-Pangasinan-La Union Expressway (TPLEX) Extension Project

Project Brief
Project Description

A four-lane toll road which will start from TPLEX Rosario, La Union and will end at San Juan, La Union. The 59.4 km toll road has three (3) segments:

Segment 1: Rosario to Tubao (18.5 km)
Segment 2: Tubao to Naguilian (23.1 km)
Segment 3: Naguilian to San Juan (17.8 km)

Project Objectives

  1. To have a 50-minute time savings or reduce travel time from Rosario, La Union to San Juan, La Union;
  2. To provide high-quality roadway infrastructure between Ilocos and Cordillera Regions, Central Luzon, and Metro Manila;
  3. To increase development in Region I and its nearby regions;
  4. To encourage economic growth along the expressway corridor; and
  5. To reduce Volume Capacity Ratio (VCR) and to raise Level of Service (LOS) of the MacArthur Highway by 2055.
