Project Description
The Project involves the financing, design and construction of enhanced bus stations, operations control centers and parking depots, and the purchase, operations and maintenance of a high-capacity busway plying through Circumferential Road 4 (EDSA) and other major and feeder roads.
Project Objectives
The project aims the following:
- EDSA to be developed as a high-capacity system
- Delivering a travel product to attract motorists from personal means of transport
- Design EDSA Carousel as part of an integrated network
- Equilibrium with other traffic – It is part of the total transport economy
- Establish effective institutional and regulatory frameworks; and
- Ensure financial viability – a sustainable business model with engagement of stakeholders in planning stages
