Project Description

The Metro Manila Skyway is an elevated expressway to be constructed along existing major road that will link the South Luzon Expressway and the North Luzon Expressway from Alabang, Muntinlupa to Balintawak, Caloocan City through the mid-western corridor of Metro Manila with a total length of 35 kms., more or less. When completed, it will be an alternative to EDSA as a major expressway that will link the northern and southern regions of Luzon.

MMS Stage 1 consists of the construction of an elevated 2×3 lane expressway from Buendia to Bicutan and the rehabilitation of the existing SLEX At-grade from Magallanes to Alabang.

MMS Stage 2 is a continuation of Stage 1 elevated expressway from Bicutan to Alabang over the existing alignment of the SLEX. Stage 2 extended the toll road by about 6.88 kms.

Francisco vs. TRB, PNCC et. al. and Strategic Alliance Development Corporation vs. Radstock Securities Limited, PNCC turned over its shares in the project to the National Government and its participation in the operation and maintenance to the private partner.)
