Project Description
Build-Own-Operate (BOO) and Build-Lease (BL) arrangement for the construction, operation and maintenance (O&M) of the Iloilo Bulk Water Supply Project (“IBP”) that will supply 80 MLD of potable treated water to the Province of Iloilo and Iloilo City Government over a concession period of thirty three (33) years.
Project Objectives
The project aims to increase the supply if treatable and/or treated water for domestic and industrial use in the seven municipalities and one city within the jurisdiction of Metro Iloilo Water District , and in Iloilo Province at large and to protect the groundwater source in Iloilo Province and develop surface water as source to provide potable, sustainable and resilient water supply to the Province of Iloilo

Remarks
The project is moved to "Under Evaluation" following the Iloilo Provincial Government's letter to the Proponent on September 05, 2024 informing them that the LGU will proceed with the detailed evaluation.
As of August 22, 2024, the PPP Center has not received a copy of the decision of the IPG whether to proceed with the detailed evaluation of the project. The PPP Center notes that such decision to be made by the IPG is already past the 10-day deadline provided in Section 54 of the PPP Code IRR.
On August 19, 2024, PPP Center received a letter from the Iloilo City Government that it is rejecting the unsolicited proposal.
The unsolicited proposal was endorsed to the Iloilo Provincial Government (IPG) and the Iloilo City Government, the proposed implementing agencies for the project, on August 9, 2024 after being determined to be complete pursuant to Section 10 of the PPP Code.
