PPP Business Case Workshop on Local Water Supply and Sanitation Facilities

The PPP Business Case Workshop on Local Water Supply and Sanitation Facilities aims to provide guidance to the prospective implementing agencies in their preparatory activity to PPP project development.

Day 1 of the event will focus on PPP business case development of the implementing agencies’ projects and the requirements and processes required for PPP transactions. The analysis through the business case for their respective water supply and sanitation facility projects shall allow a more informed decision for the LGU or water district in implementing the PPP project.

Day 2 will be a panel discussion with national government agencies concerned with oversight, approval or regulatory function and processes. The panel discussion is aimed at providing the implementing agencies with the opportunity to clarify rules, regulations or implementing guidelines as well as to enjoin their support. Potential private proponents have also been invited to listen to the presentation of projects, and take part in the dialogue on key issues and success factors in a water utility project with the government. Through this consultation activity, private sector may provide insights to the implementing agencies as they structure and design their proposed water projects for PPP. It is also a good avenue for the implementing agencies to understand the concerns and position of the private sector as their partner in the implementation of their respective projects.
