We write in reaction to The Philippine STAR’s news article “P-Noy names new PPP chief” by Delon Porcalla published yesterday (May 16), in your daily broadsheet’s Business Section page B-4 and posted in your website PhilStar com updated 12 a.m. of the same date with URL: http//www.philstar.com/Article.aspxarticleId=807321&publicationSubCategoryld=66).
We would like to inform you that Atty. Ferdinand D. Tolentino has been appointed by President Aquino as the new Deputy Executive Director of the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center as announced in a press briefing yesterday, 15 May, by Deputy Spokesperson Abigail Valte. This is to correct your headline referring to him as the ‘new PPP chief’.
The said article created confusion among readers especially among our network of partners that our current head of agency Executive Director Cosette V. Canilao has been replaced by Atty. Tolentino, and had called her attention for this matter.
We would highly appreciate if you would republish the said news and make corrections with more accurate details.
