The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) invites local and international companies to submit comparative proposals for the Improvement and Management of the Water Supply and Sanitation Services of the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB), following the approval of the unsolicited proposal from the Consortium of Tubig Pilipinas Group, Inc. (TPGI) and FB Infrastructure Corporation (FBIC).
The project involves comprehensive improvement to the water supply operations, maintenance, rehabilitation, expansion, and sewage management program within the FAB under a 25-year concession period. It is designed to rehabilitate, modernize, operate, and expand the water supply and sewerage system to address critical challenges, including limited supply during droughts, aging infrastructure, inefficient wastewater treatment, the absence of reliable production monitoring, and irregular replacement of water meters.
