The Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA) Board identified two (2) operational assets, to be developed and managed by a private sector partner (PSP) through Joint Venture (JV). These projects are the Balicasag Island Dive Resort and the Club Intramuros Golf Course which will be rolled out through its newly approved JV Guidelines.

The Balicasag Island Dive Resort is located in Panglao, Bohol, Philippines with an estimated area of 1.5 hectares while the Club Intramuros Golf Course is located in Intramuros, Manila with approximately 23 hectares of land area. TIEZA will select the projects’ PSPs through a competitive selection mode. The Public-Private Partnership Center is now assisting TIEZA in preparing the selection and tender documents for the publication of both projects.

The newly published TIEZA’s JV Guidelines encourages private sector to participate in the development, operation, management and/or disposition of its properties and facilities, whether owned, administered, or controlled. It will help in accelerating the development of its facilities and services, contributing to tourism infrastructure developments, establish Tourism Enterprise Zones (TEZs), and undertake other future tourism-related projects.
