PPP Center Deputy Executive Director Mia Mary Sebastian highlighted the role of PPPs in promoting sustainable infrastructure in the Philippines at the South-East Asia Policy Dialogue held on June 24, 2021 by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN ESCAP).

In her presentation, Deputy Executive Director Sebastian discussed how sustainable financing options can be tapped by both government and private sector partners, as well as how sustainable measures are being incorporated in traditional PPP infrastructure projects.

The virtual policy dialogue, which has the theme of “Sustainable Finance: Innovating Finance for the 2030 Agenda,” aims to facilitate mainstreaming of the green/SDG-linked bonds in the Southeast Asia region in the overall financing strategy, with focus on identifying additional needs, tools, and operational frameworks.
