The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) conducted the First Thematic Workshop of the Infrastructure Financing and PPP Network of Asia and the Pacific titled ‘Resilient PPP Infrastructure Development for Recovery’ on December 15, 2020 via Microsoft Teams. The discussions focused on the presentation of PPP case studies on the rail, waste-to-energy, and aviation sectors wherein PPP Center Director for Policy Formulation, Project Evaluation and Monitoring Service Jeffrey Manalo presented a case study on the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) project.
The workshop sought to offer detailed technical presentations by PPP experts to introduce project case studies, utilize these to explore practical challenges on PPP project implementation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, and discuss possible solutions and best practices to solve them.
