The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center and the Organization for PPP Promotion Support (OPPS) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday, to enhance cooperation between the Philippines and Japan in promoting the PPP investment in the Philippines.

“I believe that this MoU would strengthen the mutual cooperation between two organizations and contribute to fostering PPP investment,” Mr. Amano Yusuke, Deputy Minister for International Projects of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT) of Japan, said.

Under the MoU, the Parties will work together to accelerate sustainable social and economic growth in both countries, in line with the “Build, Better, More” Program.

“Our ceremony today marks a milestone in the relations between our nations. The Philippine Government looks forward to our continued partnerships and advancing our shared goals of PPP promotion,” Ma. Cynthia C. Hernandez, Executive Director of the PPP Center, added.

Also present in the signing ceremony were PPP Center’s Deputy Executive Director Eleazar E. Ricote, Atty. Lester A. Añonuevo, Atty. Samantha D. Andales, and Atty. Gilbert S. Galvez; OPPS’ Director Miyata Hideaki, Secretary General Hiramoto Hiroshi, Strategic Planner Tokuoka Saya; and Index Strategy, Inc.’s Director and Chief Operating Officer Ikedo-Okutani Airi, and Strategist Jison P. Golez.

“I strongly believe that our relationship between the PPP Center and OPPS will make the relationship between Japan and Philippines much stronger,” Mr. Uemura Kimikazu, Vice-President of OPPS, concluded
