PPP Center Executive Director Ferdinand A. Pecson, together with Director Feroisa Francisca T. Concordia tackled the provisions of the BOT Law in procuring water, sanitation, and waste water projects by local government units (LGUs) and water districts (WDs) during the Virtual Water and Sanitation Procurement Forum on September 14, 2021. LGUs and WDs were also encouraged to seek assistance from the PPP Center to guide them in pursuing their water PPP projects.

The online event was organized by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through the Strengthening Urban Resilience for Growth with Equity (SURGE) Project that provides technical assistance to the Cities Development Initiative (CDI) partner cities and adjacent areas. The initiative seeks to help improve water and sanitation services as part of the larger goal to achieve resilience and inclusive economic growth in line with the country’s commitment to the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals 2030.
