PPP Center Executive Director Ma. Cynthia C. Hernandez served as a panelist at the 2022 Water Challenge Forum organized by the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines last November 7, 2022.

In her remarks, Hernandez emphasized that public-private partnerships are uniquely positioned to fill in the gaps of government’s limited fiscal space for water infrastructure projects. Further, she shared the work of the PPP Center in providing technical and capacity building assistance to water project implementers, and advocating policy reforms to enhance the enabling environment for PPPs.

The forum, entitled A Deep Dive into the Philippine Water Sector: Exploring solutions for the country’s water supply and sanitation system, covered the current and future plans of the current administration to address the water and sanitation supply problems in the country.
