The PPP Center (PPPC) conducted an online capacity building activity (OCBA) on Special Topic on PPP Project Development: Hybrid Financing and PPP Models on May 30, 2022 via Zoom.

A total of one hundred ten (110) participants are composed of technical and administrative officers and staff from the following national government agencies (NGAs) and Government-Owned- and -Controlled Corporations (GOCCs) with their regional offices: Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH);  Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) – Regions III, IV-B and VII; Philippine Space Agency (PhilSA); Department of Agriculture (DA) Caraga Region; Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA); Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) Region XIII; and National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) Regions I and VII Offices .

Participants from the Department of Health (DOH) are composed of technical, medical and administrative officers from its Main Office; Regional PPP Committee Members; Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM), Centers for Health and Development Regions III, IV-B, V, IX and Caraga; Oriental Mindoro Provincial Hospital; Cagayan Valley Medical Center; Baguio General Hospital and Medical Center; and Batangas Medical Center.

The local government unit (LGU) participants include: Provincial Governments of Davao del Norte, Occidental Mindoro, and Bataan; City Governments of Balanga, Bataan, Makati, and Ormoc, Leyte; and Municipal Government of Kalibo, Aklan.

During the session, Engr. Mary Rose N. Santillan from the PPPC’s Project Development Service discussed the Hybrid PPPs in the Philippines; and Engr. Paolo B. David from the PPPC’s Project Monitoring Division shared an example of a Hybrid PPP project in the Philippines.
