To cap off the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center’s 2023 programmed capacity building activities (CBA), the Center conducted the online CBA titled “Special Topic on PPP Project Development: Mainstreaming Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) Analysis in PPP Projects” on November 8, 2023 via Zoom. Around 115 participants from various implementing agencies attended the activity.
The OCBA provided recognition of basic concepts related to environmental, social, and gender concerns in PPP projects; identified practical application of such safeguard considerations during the project development phase of the PPP project life cycle, and; recalled real-life examples of safeguard considerations applied to actual PPP projects.
Ms. Arianne Joy B. Olegario, Gender and Social Inclusion Advisor for Asia and the Pacific, and Arch. Karen G. Tillada, Chief of the PPP Center’s Project Monitoring Division, acted as the resource persons of the activity.
In his closing remarks, Deputy Executive Director Jeffrey I. Manalo, thanked the participants for the continuous and active participation in all the Center’s CBAs conducted throughout the year. DED Manalo hoped that the participants will carry all the new information and insights from the resource persons, and utilize them in their ongoing and future PPP undertakings to facilitate more inclusive infrastructure projects for the Filipinos.
