The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center conducted an exploratory meeting with the Municipal Government of Solano, Nueva Vizcaya on September 19, 2022 at the Center’s Board Room.
The Municipal Government expressed interest in exploring PPP as a mechanism to implement their infrastructure program and projects. In the meeting, the PPP Center briefed the Municipal Government on the Philippine PPP Program, highlighting concepts and processes, legal frameworks, the Center’s role and mandate, and the importance of building a foundation for successful local PPPs.
Initial steps were discussed, which included establishing a local legal framework, constituting local institutional bodies, and capturing the Municipality’s possible PPP ideas into more concrete project concept notes.
Mayor Philip A. Dacayo led the delegation of the municipal government, composed of several department heads, their market supervisor, and a project consultant. Meanwhile, Mr. Agape Sem B. Comendador and Ms. Dionne Marga M. Larin of the Center’s Capacity Building and Knowledge Management Service served as resource persons of the activity.
