The Asian Institute of Management (AIM) recently tapped the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center as one of its speakers for the Bridging Leaders’ Initiative for Climate Resilience (BLICR) program. The BLIRC is a leadership development program that seeks to capacitate Philippine local chief executives (LCEs) and private sector development professionals (PSDPs) and build a community that will co-create innovative nature-based solution for marine resources in the country’s vulnerable coastal municipalities.

Director Feroisa Francisca T. Concordia of the PPP Center’s Capacity Building and Knowledge Management Service served as the resource person for the two sessions together with Director Lerma L. Advincula of the Project Development Service, Director Joanne B. Babon of the Project Development and Monitoring Facility Service, and the Capacity Building Division.

The PPP Center’s sessions aim to help participants understand the Philippine PPP program, the applicable legal frameworks, and project life cycle processes for PPPs. This will empower the local government and the private sector to undertake change projects that directly impact the local economy, environment, and social development agenda in the coastal areas of the country.

The 2-day session, which were held on August 17 and 19 were attended by LECs and technical staff from 8 LGUs and representatives from the private sector. The fellowship program is supported by the Earth Security Group, with funding from the Federal Ministry for the Environment and Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety, and TeaM Energy Foundation, Inc.
