The Municipal Government of Kalibo is inviting prospective bidders to submit comparative proposals as it rolls out the Competitive Challenge process for the Rehabilitation of Municipal Slaughterhouse, Operation and Maintenance of the Kalibo Meat Plant.

The Joint Venture project, which has an estimated project cost of PhP30 million, involves the rehabilitation of the existing Kalibo Slaughterhouse, and the operation and maintenance of the Kalibo Meat Plant for a period of 28 years.

Pursuant to the Competitive Challenge process, rules and guidelines under the Kalibo Municipal Government’s PPP Code, interested challengers must submit an Expression of Interest to participate in the Competitive Challenge by March 25, 2019. They must also purchase the tender documents and submit their qualification documents on or before April 9, 2019.

The project was submitted as an unsolicited proposal by the Philippine Slaughterhouse Management Operation, Inc., which was granted Original Proponent status on May 15, 2018 by the Kalibo Municipal Government. Negotiations between the Kalibo Municipal Government and the Original Proponent were concluded on February 19, 2019.
