The Department of Public Works and Highways met with the four prequalified bidders for the P35.42-Billion Cavite-Laguna Expressway (CALAX) Project during the Pre-Bid Conference held today, 21 November 2013, at the DPWH Office in Manila. The four groups vying for the CALAX Project are Alloy MTD Philippines Inc.; Team Orion, the consortium of AC Infrastructure Holdings Inc., Aboitiz Land Inc., and Macquarie Infrastructure Holdings Philippines; MPCALA Holdings Inc.; and Optimal Infrastructure Development Inc. of San Miguel Corporation. The submission of bids for the project is tentatively set for January 2014. CALAX is the third toll road project rolled-out by DPWH under the Philippine Public-Private Partnership Program.
