The Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center served as resource person to the Department of Health (DOH) Capacity Building Workshop on Project Identification and Development for selected DOH hospitals in Luzon, held on September 7-9, 2022, at Hotel Seoul, Clark, Pampanga.
The activity aimed to enhance the participants’ knowledge on PPP concepts and the PPP process, the PPP for Health Scoping Tool, and available funding sources for health PPPs such as the Asian Development Bank’s Asia Pacific Project Preparation Facility, and the Project Development and Monitoring Facility Fund.
The workshop also featured current PPP projects from the Baguio General Hospital & Medical Center, Cagayan Valley Medical Center, Mariveles Mental Wellness and General Hospital, University of the Philippines- Philippine General Hospital, and the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine, which are currently at varying stages of the project life cycle.
The PPP Center also facilitated a workshop on developing PPP Project Concept Notes which served as the main output of the workshop.
Director John Dominic Z. Zafe and Director Dionne Marga M. Larin led the PPP Center training team composed of technical officers from the Project Development Service, the Project Development and Monitoring Facility Service, and the Capacity Building Division.
