The Bases Conversion and Development Authority is inviting interested local and international investors to join the Pre-Bid Conference for the Clark International Airport Operations and Maintenance (O&M) Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Project on May 21, 2018, 9:00 AM. The venue for conference will be held at the Mind Museum Auditorium, 3rd Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.

BCDA is bidding out the O&M Concession for the Clark International Airport (CIA), which will entail: (i) the management, operations, and maintenance of the Clark International Airport including the existing terminal; and, (ii) the completion, fit-out and management, operations, and maintenance of the New Terminal Building for Clark International Airport.

On April 30, 2018, the BCDA in cooperation with the Department of Transportation (DOTr) started to publish invitation to prequalify and bid for this PPP project. An Information Memorandum was also published to provide more details on the project. Bidding documents are also now available to be purchased at the BCDA head office.

The upgrading and modernization of the CIA is expected to augment the much needed airport capacity for the country’s Greater Capital Region (comprising Metro Manila, Southern Tagalog and Central Luzon), which is primarily served by an already congested Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). CIA will likewise accommodate the growing traffic within its organic catchment area, i.e., North and Central Luzon.

Meanwhile, on December 18, 2017, the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) PPP contract of CIA was awarded to Megawide Construction Corp. and GMR Infrastructure Ltd.. The contract was signed on January 29, 2018. Megawide-GMR will be responsible for the financing, design, and construction of the New Terminal Building as well as support its commissioning.
