With assistance from the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Baggao in Cagayan Province held the opening of the Technical Proposal for the Baggao Water Supply Project on September 5, 2023 in Quezon City.
Following the issuance of the Notice of Eligibility on August 30, 2023, the Joint Venture-Selection Committee (JV-SC), chaired by Engr. Jennison C. Herrera, led the opening of the Technical Proposal submitted by M.E. Sicat Construction, Inc. During the event, the JV-SC is tasked to confirm the completeness of the Technical Proposal submitted by the sole bidder.
Afterwards, the JV-SC will proceed with the detailed evaluation of the technical proposal. The notice of results of the proposal evaluation is expected to be issued within the week.
In his opening remarks, Deputy Executive Director Eleazar E. Ricote assured the Municipality of Baggao of PPP Center’s commitment to continuously assist the LGU during the whole procurement process.
The 25-year term water supply project entails the design, financing, construction, testing, operation, and maintenance of a Level III Water Supply System that will provide 24 barangays with a safe and dependable water supply system. The project will be carried out through a Joint Venture (JV) Agreement in accordance with the Municipality’s JV Code.
Out of the two companies who purchased the bidding documents, only M.E. Sicat Construction, Inc. submitted its bid proposals last August 17, 2023.
