Project Description

The project aims to upgrade airport facility in terms of increased capacity and improvement of safety and security facilities as prescribed in ICAO SARPS.

The project involves the phased development of Caticlan Airport:

Phase 1A

  1. Improvement/upgrading of existing terminal
  2. Upgrading of airport facilities
  3. Reducing slope of adjacent hill to 4 degrees

Phase 1B

  1. Extension of the runway
  2. Construction of landslide facilities to include new terminal building
  3. Installation of navigational and air traffic control aids

Phase 2:

  1. Extension of runway towards the sea
