MANILA – The Integrated Transport System (ITS) South Terminal is seen to boost Ayala Land’s newest project as the prime gateway to Metro Manila.

The project, ARCA South, is Ayala’s newest business and lifestyle district in Taguig. It is located beside the South ITS, a multi-modal terminal located in a 5-hectare lot within the FTI compound.

The terminal aims to facilitate transfers of around 4,000 buses and 160,000 passengers expected to pass through the terminal daily.

The Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) and Ayala Land’s ARCA South Integrated Terminal Inc. recently signed a 35-year concession agreement to build and operate the South ITS.

Ayala Land said construction of the project will start later this year, and is expected to be completed by 2018.

The six-storey terminal will have a centralized ticketing facility, as well as passenger waiting areas, trip information displays, retail establishments and a car park.

ARCA South will feature an Ayala Malls lifestyle complex, office buildings, a Seda Hotel and a Qualimed hospital.

“It will become a gateway to major locations since it is minutes away from the Makati CBD, Bonifacio Global City and the Ninoy Aquino International Airport,” Ayala Land said.

DOTC formally awarded the estimated P4 billion project to Ayala Land in November last year.
