To encourage both the private and public sector in adopting the public-private partnership or PPP scheme in the implementation of various development projects in the region, the Regional Development Council 2- Infrastructure Development Committee (RDC 2- IDC) is planning to conduct top management orientation on PPP Program.

Gov. Luisa Lloren Cuaresma, chairperson of the RDC-IDC said the Philippines has been promoting PPP for many years now and has able to attract private partners to invest on infrastructure projects such as power, transportation, water sectors and on development projects on information and communications technology, health and property development sectors.

During the orientation, several lectures will be conducted such as overview of PPP in the Philippines and its institutional framework, incentives and the experience of the country; PPP Financing; PPP Projects Selection and Evaluation; and LGU PPP Investment Priorities.

Resource speakers will be invited from the PPP Center of the Philippines and the National Economic and Development Authority – Public Investment Staff.

The participants will come from Regional Line Agencies (RLAs), Local Government Units (LGUs), State Universities and Colleges (SUCs), RDC 2- Private Sector Representatives, Government Owned and Controlled Corporations (GOCCs), business firms and the media sector.
