PNR - Integrated Luzon Railway

The North-South Commuter Rail aims to upgrade and modernize the PNR Railway system under PPP in order to provide a safe, reliable, fast and convenient rail transport system.

Project Description:

The Government of the Philippines, through its Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) has been exploring the feasibility of use of the existing Philippines National Railway (PNR) right-of-way (ROW) through the greater Manila area as the alignment for a commuter railway – The North-South Commuter Railway (NSCR).

The first phase of the North-South Commuter Rail would consist of a rapid rehabilitation of the existing at-grade PNR railway infrastructure.  This railway would have an interchange station at its northern terminus (either Tutuban or Solis station) and would run southwards to Calamba on the PNR ROW.
