MANILA – A P1.59 billion contract for the computerization of the civil registry operations of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) has been signed Friday, the Public-Private Partnership Center said.

The concession agreement for phase two of the Civil Registry System-Information Technology project was signed by the PSA and Unisys Public Sector Services Corp.

The project aims to collect, access, store, maintain, and manage civil registry documents and the specimen signatures of all city and municipal registrars using imaging technology.

The project, which was approved by the National Economic and Development Authority Board on July 2015, is expected to take two years to develop.
