PROPERTY developer Anchor Land Inc. on Monday said it signed a P4-billion public-private partnership contract with the Parañaque City government for a mixed-use development that will house, among others, the satellite office of the city government.

Located between the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange and Coastal Mall, and close to the Naia-X exit ramp to Entertainment City, the 1-hectare mixed-use development will consist of three towers.

The first tower will house the satellite office of the city government; the second tower will be dedicated to office and commercial use; and the third tower will be used as a bed-spacing facility, it said.

“This project and our satellite office will bring the city government’s services closer to our citizens and all sectors, especially our business partners,” Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez said in a statement.

The satellite office will include the extension offices of the city’s business permit and licensing office, as well as the assessor’s office which is responsible for processing permits for both local and foreign investors.

Currently, 35,000 employees in Bay City are working in integrated hotels and resorts, such as Solaire Resort, City of Dreams and Okada Manila; IT/BPO industries; and the Department of Foreign Affairs.

With the continuing growth in Bay City, the project will make it easier for businesses to apply for their respective business requirements instead of transacting at the main city hall in Sucat district, it said.

Employees of establishments in Bay City will be able to secure their government-related employment requirements since the satellite office will also include extension offices of the National Bureau of Investigation, Government Service Insurance System, Social Security System, Pag-Ibig Fund and the Philippine Health Insurance Corp.

“In Bay City alone, we are expecting to reach 100,000 jobs and 5,000 businesses in the years to come, which will be generated by the completion of additional integrated hotels and resorts, a theme park and commercial establishments like the upcoming Ayala Malls Bay Area. Our satellite office will help us efficiently respond to this growing number without them needing to travel to our existing City Hall. And this will be made possible through our partnership with Anchor Land,” Olivarez said.
